Control and Debugging of Warm Compressed Pump Unit in 1.8 K Superfluid Helium System

  • The rapid development of large-scale scientific devices in the fields of nuclear fusion and high-energy physics has promoted the progress and widespread application of 1.8 K/2 K superfluid helium systems. The room temperature decompression method is a common method to obtain superfluid helium. The process flow, structure, design parameters, automatic control process, remote monitoring design, start-up and shutdown process and performance test and verification of the warm compressed pump unit in the 1.8 K superfluid helium system were introduced. Through the gradual pressure reduction control of the warm compressed pump unit, 1.8 K superfluid helium was obtained quickly and stably, and all measured parameters of the pump unit reached or exceeded the design parameters.
