EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON THE EFFECT OF CONTAMINATION IN PULSE TUBE COOLER

  • The accelerated contamination experiments were realized in order to study the effect of gas contamination on the performance of the pulse tube cooler, though developing the operating time, heating temperature, free gas contaminations and bound gas contamination. The experiments showed, contamination redistributing in the regenerator and regenerative material contaminated were the pivotal factor that bring pulse tube cooler to the effect of contamination. The results were analyzed theoretically based on the heat transfer and fluid resistance mechanism i.e. And the conclusion helps to use pulse tube cooler in aerospace engineering.
