RELIABILITY ASSESSMENT AND LIFE PROBABILISTIC ANALYSIS OF ACCELERATOR GRID FOR ION THRUSTER

  • A probabilistic model of accelerator grid service life is developed with Monte Carlo method in this paper.Accelerator grid life and reliability of 20 cm Xe ion thruster was simulated by this model.The result indicated that the distribution of the relative probability of accelerator service life is Gauss distribution and the 0.90 reliability of accelerator grid service life is 3000 hours when the environment pressure was about 6.7×10-3Pa.
