SPACE ENVIRONMENTAL SIMULATION IRRADIATION TESTS OF ALUMINIZED GLASS SECOND SURFACE MIRRORS

  • Space environmental simulation tests were performed with irradiation by protons, electrons and UV on the ground.Degradation of aluminized glass second surface mirrors(SSMs) is measured and discussed in thermal-contral performances such as the total hemispherical emittance and the solar absorptance. The results show that aluminized glass SSMs has eminent radiation durability.
