AERODYNAMIC DESIGN TECHNOLOGY OF CENTRIFUGAL VACUUM PUMP

  • Design technology of high efficiency vacuum pump has an important significance for industrial energy saving. According to the design requirements of a vacuum pump with its form and design parameters,the blade loading distribution form and the effect of the splitter chordwise and circumferential position on performance are analyzed. The aerodynamic design of the centrifugal pump is achieved. Using three dimensional numerical simulation,the performance curves and internal flow field of different vane diffuser angle conditions are calculated. In order to fully consider the asymmetry of the internal flow of vacuum pump,the full passage calculation is used,while the centrifugal rotor,vane diffuser and volute inner flow characteristics are investigated. The results show that,the massflow,exit flow angle and efficiency will be changed if the blade loading distribution form and the effect of the splitter chordwise and circumferential position are different; changing the vane diffuser angle makes the characteristics line of centrifugal pump to be translated,which can make the centrifugal pump working in high efficiency area across the whole working process. Then energy saving will be achieved.
