DESIGN OF MULTI-CHANNEL NARROW-BAND FILTER BASED ON GUIDED-MODE RESONANCE EFFECT

  • Design of several kinds of multi-channel narrow-band filters based on the guided mode resonance effect was presented. The reflection spectra was calculated by using the rigorous coupled-wave method. By adding buffer layers to a single-layer filter, multichannel narrow bands can be obtained. When thickness of the first high index buffer layer was 523.8 nm and 689.2 nm, two and three channels were found in the reflection spectra, respectively. Four channels can be obtained in the reflection spectrum when a second low index buffer layer with thickness of 768 nm was added. Two channels can also be obtained in a single-layer filter by changing the incidence angle.
