RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNIQUES OF URINE PROCESSING IN SPACE STATION

  • Urine processing water recovery system is the most important part of the regenerative environment control and life support system. In order to implement the water reclamation in space station and reduce the dosage of water, the technique of urine processing collect and purge the water that has been used for bathing and other personal cleaning, urine,and water derived from the feces. This article reviewed the main full-developed urine processing technologies such as thermoelectric integrated membrane evaporation technology and vapor compression distillation technology. And the new developing urine processing technologies:freezen concentration and reverse osmosis technology together with vacuum rotary distillation technology.
