STUDY OF THE HIGH-VOLTAGE CABLE INTERNAL CHARGING EFFECT UNDER IRRADIATION BY 1.5 MeV ELECTRON BEAM

  • With the long-life and high-performance of our satellites,using plasma electron propulsion will become inevitable.The high-voltage cable of the ion thruster is used on the satellite in MEO and GEO,which produces charge accumulation triggered electrostatic discharge by high-energy electron irradiation,thus will lead to problems of the ion thruster system.In this paper,the electrostatic discharge signal is tested under the integrated effects of the 1.5MeV monoenergetic electron beam irradiation and different high working voltage.At the same time,Monte Carlo method is used to analyze high-energy electronic deposit location,and finite element method is used to analyze internal electric field distribution and change by the high voltage,which will make the foundation for high voltage cable internal charging protection technology.
