EFFECTS OF ATOMIC OXYGEN ON THE DETERIORATION OF ANTISTATIC BLACK POLYIMIDE FILMS

  • The atomic oxygen is one of the most important space environments in the LEO space, which could damage the spacecraft materials due to its huge erosion effect. The antistatic black polyimide films are the stray light removing materials and antistatic materials, and usually used to the satellite antenna and the spacecraft surface material. This paper presents experimental investigations of antistatic black polyimide films damaged by atomic oxygen. Study of the performance degeneration rules of antistatic black polyimide films,The atomic oxygen durability of the antistatic black polyimide films on the LEO were studied for preliminary. Some reasonable proposals are given for the LEO mission design of the antistatic black polyimide films.
