PROGRESS ON THE RESEARCH OF ELECTRON CYCLOTRON RESONANCE ION THRUSTER

  • The electron cyclotron ion thruster(ECRIT)is a type of static electric thruster,and has the advantages of high specific impulse,electrodeless and high durability,which make the thruster competitive in the applications on deep space probe and long life satellite.The working principle,development status and research progress of ECRIT were discussed and its typical structure was summarized.According to the actual situation,the research and development direction of the thruster are given.
