DEVELOPMENT OF THE HAMPSON TYPE MINIATURE J-T CRYOCOOLER

  • The Hampson-type miniature Joule-Thomson cryocooler is widely used in IR detectors and electronic cooling.The research progress of steady-state and transient characteristics of the Hampson-type miniature J-T cryocooler is expounded respectively.It is pointed out in this paper that some effects have not been taken into account in the research of Hampson-type miniature Joule-Thomson cryocooler,they include:changes in fluid properties,heat exchange with the surrounding(heat leakage),longitudinal thermal conduction in the wall,and flow maldistribution.Besides,this paper also made some suggestions about whether we should consider these effects.Finally,some measures to make the Hampson-type miniature Joule-Thomson cryocooler model more accurate were put forward.
