The Overview of Beam Neutralization and Coupling Characteristics of Ion and Hall Hybrid-thruster

  • Ion and Hall hybrid electric propulsion technology can combine the advantages of Hall thruster and ion thruster, and meet the requirements of the current electric thruster towards high power and multi-mode development.The problem of ion beam neutralization is one of the basic problems of electric propulsion technologies.Based on the investigation of the current situation of the ion and Hall thruster at home and abroad, the composition of the ion and Hall hybrid thruster is introduced.The current status of ion beam neutralization in electric thruster, the current situation of beam coupling in ion thruster group and Hall thruster cluster are further investigated.The special problems of beam coupling in the ion and Hall hybrid thruster are preliminarily analyzed.
