The Research and Development of Imaging Technologies for Eddy Current Non-destructive Testing

  • Eddy current testing is a common method for nondestructive testing of nonferromagnetic metal equipment.With the continuous development of industrial technology, higher requirements for defect visualization are put forward by eddy current nondestructive testing.Therefore, three main eddy current nondestructive imaging technologies, i.e.impedance scan imaging, magneto-optical eddy current imaging and eddy current tomography are introduced, and their imaging principles and research status are summarized.The advantages and disadvantages as well as the application characteristics are compared and analyzed.Finally, the research and development trend of eddy current nondestructive imaging technologies are forecasted and concluded.It could provide a reference for the comprehensive application and development of eddy current nondestructive imaging technologies.
