Numerical Simulation of Flow and Heat Transfer in A Mini-Channel with Double Curved Ribs

  • In order to enhance the heat transfer performance of the mini-channel,a mini-channel with double curved ribs is provided.The effects of double-curved ribs on the flow characteristics,heat transfer characteristics and comprehensive characteristics of fluids in mini-channels were investigated by employment of numerical simulation.The effects of the imported Reynolds number and the radius of the fins on the friction coefficient,Nusselt number and comprehensive heat transfer factor in the mini channel heat sink are analyzed.The results show that the friction coefficient and Nusselt number of the mini-channel increases with the increase of the radius of the rib,and the thermal resistance decreases with the increase of the rib radius.Among the set Reynolds number,the best comprehensive performance is MCDR-0.4.The above can prove that the addition of double curved ribs can effectively improve the overall performance of the mini-channels.
