Optimization Design of Regenerator of Free Piston Stirling Cryocooler in Air-conditioning Temperature Zone

  • Based on the design requirements of a free piston Stirling cryocooler(FPSC)in air-conditioning temperature zone(300 W@280 K),the optimization design of the regenerator,a key component of FPSC,is performed.Roll foil structure with less flow resistance loss and polyester material are selected as regenerator filled material.The Sage models of FPSC and regenerator are built to analyze the effects of different regenerator length and porosity on heat transfer loss and refrigeration performance.The optimization results of regenerator length and porosity at 280 K are 32 mm and 76%,respectively.Finally,the distribution of heat transfer loss in FPSC is analyzed.And the advantage of the roll foil structure in air-conditioning temperature zone is verified.
