Outgassing Rate Model and Its Application of Cesium Beam Tube

  • Cesium beam tube is a sealed electric vacuum device.In order to maintain the vacuum for a long time,it needs to be baked and exhausted.However,the outgassing rate in this process cannot be measured.A model of the outgassing rate is presented.According to the model,the outgassing rate of the cesium beam tube can be obtained from the reading of the vacuum gauge.An application of the model is also given.When applied to the exhaust system,if the pressure of the system is less than 1.2×10-7 Pa,the cesium beam tube can be sealed off from the exhaust system.The method presented herein can also be applied to other electric vacuum devices.
