Design and Experimental Research on the Dynamic Absorber of Free Piston Stirling Cooler

  • The high-frequency motion of the mover assembly in the Free Piston Stirling Cooler (FPSC) produces a certain vibration force of the whole machine, which will affect the performance of the cooler and limit its application. Therefore, the vibration reduction technology is one of the key technologies of FPSC. A 280 K,300 W Stirling cooler power absorber was designed, including the design of the damping spring profile, the choice of structural layout, the matching of the mass rigidity of the three types of absorbers, the modal analysis and the frequency sweep verification experiment. The simulation and experimental results showed that the natural frequency design value, simulated value, and measured value of the model b absorber were 79.98 Hz,79.56 Hz,and 80.95 Hz,while the experimental value was 77 Hz, and the errors were 3.8%,3.3%,and 5.1%,respectively. The mass ratio was about 0.09,which met the requirements of low vibration and light weight. The b type vibration absorber was preferred as the vibration reduction solution of the Stirling cooler.
