Research on Sealing Property Evaluation and Real Flow Medium Test of Liquid Hydrogen Valves for Hydrogen Powered Vehicles

  • Liquid hydrogen valves performances are normally tested using liquid nitrogen which can't reflect the real state. In this paper,cryogenic operation,temperature cycles and leakage tests are carried out using liquid hydrogen considering the high level safety requirements for the hydrogen-powered vehicles. The liquid hydrogen valves leakage testing methods and requirements are put forward basing on the results and relevant standards,which can be adopted for the sealing quality evaluation for liquid valves.
