Research Progress of C12A7 Hollow Cathode

  • C12A7 electride hollow cathode has attracted much attention in the field of electric propulsion because of its lower work function and excellent chemical stability.This paper introduces the properties of this new emitter material and reviews the experimental results and research progress of C12A7 hollow cathodes at home and abroad.The problems and critical technologies of C12A7 hollow cathodes are analyzed.Discussion about future development trends and applica-tion prospects are also presented.
