Design and Dynamic Thermal Load Test of Liquid Nitrogen Cooling System for SSRF Cryogenic Permanent Magnet Undulator

  • The overall design scheme of liquid nitrogen cooling system for three sets of cryogenic permanent magnet undulators(CPMU)in SSRF are introduced.According to the layout of CPMUs in SSRF,the design scheme of liquid ni-trogen cooling system is given.According to the thermal load of each equipment,the pressure drop of the transfer system is analyzed and calculated,and the results meet the cooling requirements.According to the inlet and outlet temperature and flow rate under different magnetic gaps and beam with CPMU,the dynamic thermal loads of CPMU with length 1.5 m and cycle length 20 mm are obtained.
