A Novel Method of Current Metering Based on Quantum Natural Standards

  • Electromagnetic metrology is of great importance to modern military metrology and industrial production, the precision of electromagnetic metrology directly influences the technology level of strategic weapons and scientific research. The primary standards for voltage and impendence have been established based on Josephson junction array and quantum hall resistance, while practical standard for electric current is still under research stage.This work provides a new method of electric current metering based on high-sensitivity atomic magnetometer, and the electric current is traced to the quantum standards, a new kind of current comparator is designed to transfer the measuring values. In this work, detailed experiments are performed to illustrate the working principle and verify the validity of the metering method.
