Study on Structure and Technology of Innovative Shell-type Vacuum Insulation Panels

  • Avoiding defects of high barrier film in the Vacuum Insulation Panels(VIPs) production process is crucial in determining lifetime of products involved. The current limitations of ordinary bag-type VIP products are eliminated by analyzing key factors influencing the product lifetime (or service life). An innovative shell-type structural design method has been proposed, supplemented by various preliminary tests and evaluations to validate the claimed excellent barrier properties. The results revealed that the proposed product structure effectively improved the barrier properties and enhances service life (or lifetime). This state-of-art method proved to be beneficial in automation of VIP production process and improve efficiency.
