VACUUM MELTING OF Al-Li ALLOY UNDER THE MICRO-GRAVITY CONDITION

  • Al Li Alloys were melted and cast with electric magneitc micro gravity simulation facility. The factors, which influenced the quality Al Li alloy ingot such as crucible material, heating temperature, vacuum degree and heat preservation time and gas protection were investigated. It showed that the impurity content of the Al Li alloy could be controlled effectively by taking proper technical measures and the quality of the ingot had been enhanced.
