Abstract
The model describing solidification properties of ice storage in a rectangular capsule under the convective heat transfer condition is established.The solidification heat transfer problems have been solved by a simple method based on the heat resistance method.The heat transfer properties of the ice storage have been discussed.The calculation results have been compared with the experimental ones,and the agreement is satisfactory.This method can meet the demands of the engineering calculation.The results can provide bases for dynamic performance researches of stacked rectangular capsules for ice storage system.
