FINITE TIME THERMODYNAMIC CHARACTERISTIES OF A REGENERATED BRAYTON REFRIGERATION CYCLE

  • The finite time thermodynamic characteristics of an isentropic closed regenerated Brayton refrigerstion cycle with constant temperature heat reservoirs has been studied in the paper. The relations between cyclic cooling rate and pressure ratio, coeffcient of performance (COP) and pressure ratio are derived for the two cases of heat reservoir conditions, and then the optimal characteristics of cooling rate versus COP are obtained.
