ADVANCED REFUELING SYSTEM OF HL-2A TOKAMAK

  • The basis in the development of an Advanced Refueling System (ARS) for HL-2A tokamak has been presented. One Continuous Pellet Injector (CPI) , in combination with a screw extruder, a fast repetitive punch mechanism and an electromagnetic Fast Valve(FV), has been proposed as the first candidate plan for HL-2A. The operation frequency of the punch mechanism and FV is 20 Hz. The Pellets can be injected either from High Field Side(HFS) or from Low Field Side(LFS). The "situ - condense" pneumatic pellet injector with 30 pellet gun barrels has also been recommended as the second candidate. The key objective and technical difficulties which will be faced in developing processes are presented.
