Abstract
The heat transfer characteristic experimental studies of the small axially grooved heat plpe working at the liquid nitrogen temperature range were presented. It was proved that the cryogenlc heat pipe had some heat transfer capacity. The end to end temperature drop was small and the overall thermal resistance was also small; the heat pipe could successfully work under small angles with the evaporation end up. The gradient angle had important effect on the heat transfer characteristics.
