ENHANCED FILM CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER OF METHANE VAPOR

  • Film condensation heat transfer of methane vapor along V type fin surface is investigated. A set of experimental apparatus is built to observe performance of laminar film condensation of methane vapor. Experiment is carried out by using two kinds of heat transfer surface, one is a tube of smooth surface and the other of V type fin surface. The heat transfer data of smooth tube agrees with Nusselt’s solution quit well and the condensation heat transfer coefficient of V type fin surface is 3~8 times as large as that of the smooth surface.
