Abstract: In recent years,with the consistent perfection of theory and deepening of experimental study,adds the advantage of traveling wave thermoacoustic theoretical efficiency which is close to Kano cycle efficiency,these all make it become the hot and difficult point of research.This paper mainly elaborates the theoretical research progress of thermoacoustic engine,highlights the experimental results and the progress of its application at home and abroad,then preliminarily forecasts its development direction.
