Abstract:
The interaction between high voltage solar arrays(HVSA)and space plasma of low earth orbit can cause the power loss of HVSA. In order to study the current collection of the high voltage solar array in low earth orbit, the basic theory and mechanism of current collection of HVSA in LEO was studied through analyzing the charging process of coverglass. Then the secondary electron emitting from cover-glass with different applied voltage and current collection of the HVSA was investigated by PIC(Particle-In-Cell)method. The simulation results indicate that the secondary electrons were collected by HVSA and result in Snapover.
