微重力环境下低温推进剂贮箱内气液界面形变特性研究

Deformation Characteristics of Gas-liquid Interface in Cryogenic Propellant Tank under Microgravity Environment

  • 摘要: 为保证低温推进剂在轨安全储存,提高主动控压系统效率,开展微重力下“气枕”的构型及形变特性的研究至关重要。采用流体体积函数法模拟微重力条件下低温液体推进剂贮箱内“气枕”的形变特性及液-固接触角、重力水平等因素对“气枕”构型的影响。结果表明:由于表面张力作用的存在,液体沿着壁面依附爬升,贮箱内“气枕”最终构型为椭球形回转体。在液体爬升过程中,液体对固体的浸润度随液-固接触角及重力水平的增大而减小,当重力水平小于10-3g,液-固接触角小于20°时,液体浸润面积占比最大,对于低温推进剂长期在轨储存最有利。

     

    Abstract: In order to ensure the safe storage of low-temperature propellant in orbit and improve the efficiency of active pressure control system,it is very important to research on the configuration and deformation characteristics of vapor region under microgravity.In this paper,the volume of fluid(VOF)method is used to numerically simulate the deformation characteristics of the gas-liquid interface in a cryogenic liquid propellant tank under microgravity conditions and the influence of factors such as contact angle and gravity level on the configuration of the gas-liquid interface.The results show that due to the presence of surface tension,the liquid climbs along the wall,the gas-liquid interface is shaped as an ellipsoidal spheroid.In the process of liquid climbing,the wettability of the liquid to the solid decreases with the increase of contact angle and gravity level.When the gravity level is less than 10-3g and the contact angle is less than 20°,the liquid wettability area accounts for the largest proportion which is more advantageous to store the liquid propellant in orbit for a long time.
