Drift Tube Leak Detection of CSNS

  • 摘要: 漂移管是中国散裂中子源(CSNS)直线加速器(DTL)的核心部件,整个DTL共有153个整漂移管和8个半漂移管提供纵向加速。采用氦质谱检漏仪和四极质谱计两种手段对12#漂移管进行研究,首先确定了漂移管外壳的漏点位置,然后通过线圈通电和打水压的方法确定了线圈漏水,最后去掉漂移管外壳后重新检漏,确定了线圈漏水的原因。检漏结果对漂移管备件的加工、焊接和检漏具有一定的参考意义。

     

    Abstract: The drift tube is the core component of the Drift Tube Linear accelerator (DTL) for China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS). There are 153 drift tubes and 8 half drift tubes in the whole DTL to provide longitudinal acceleration.In this paper,two methods of helium mass spectrometer and quadrupole mass spectrometer are used to study the 12#drift tube.Firstly,the leak point of the drift tube shell is determined by leak detection.Then,the coil leakage was determined by the method of coil energization and water pressure.Finally,after removing the drift tube shell,the leakage was checked again and the cause of the coil leakage was determined.The leakage results of 12#drift tube have certain reference significance for the subsequent machining,welding and leak detection of other drift tubes.
