Abstract: The working principle and characteristics of the harmonic drive are introduced; A summary about US,EU and Japan to develop and apply harmonic drive in spacecraft is given. The key technology about harmonic drive used in spacecraft is analysised. Some advice about developing space harmonic drive in our country were given.
