Abstract: The natural radiations impose hazards to manned exploration,but also present some constraints to the design of space missions.The sources and composition of the space radiation environment in LEO as well as beyond the Earth′s magnetosphere are reviewed.The present status of simulation tools for analysis of space environment effects are described.A review of space dosimetry methods is also presented.
