Abstract: The freeze drying storage of off body tissues is an important application area of the vacuum freeze drying technology. The protective agents of the freeze dried biologics are the necessary agents in the freeze drying technology. The sorts,the functions and the protective mechanism of the cryoprotective agents（CPAs） of the cornea in the vacuum freeze drying were emphatically described.
